Moving in this area is like walking through history. Walking can touch the first written documents that indicate the emergence of these communities: these are in fact even written in stone and can be seen in one of the most interesting sites that testify to the presence of prehistoric civilizations in Valle d'Aosta.
Walk takes you along beautiful trails, discovering perhaps the Ru du pan perdu with its splendid arches dating from the thirteenth century, built to supply water to the fields in the plain below.
Another interesting route is the one that leads to explore the area and its history through its speakers and its many parish churches, dedicated to the saints which the villagers were devoted and to whom they turned to the work of the campaign or to prevent disasters and diseases.
Everything described is situated in very beautiful and scenic, surrounded by typical quietness of this mountain is still so far away from urban stress, as from traffic. A mountain where one can find a peaceful sanctuary in which to find the rhythm of your breath and your thoughts.
The nature trails are numerous and are open to different interpretations: a walk in the Valley of the Matterhorn nourishes the five senses as much as our minds and our emotions. Many ideas are in fact the scientific, historical and cultural factors that can be detected along the way and many are visual stimuli, provided by the breathtaking views that can capture the entire valley and the Gran Becca.
The routes, always well marked and accessible to all, are suitable for both walkers to mountain bikers or horseback riding and allow you to get closer to its surroundings in complete tranquility, free from the hard work and finding a healthy mental and physical balance. Alone or with a guide, so you can spend your free time pleasantly in the open air and found that this is an entertainment to which it is difficult to give up!
