After crossing to enter the town of Antey-Saint-André, on the left bank of Marmore along the dirt road Ru Lies, a completely flat plot develops, particularly suitable for producing a fairway the passage of any walker, especially the disabled who have to travel in a wheelchair.
City of Antey-Saint-André and the Association of Paraplegics in Valle d'Aosta, the Forestry Department has made, from the summer of 2006, interventions to allow the redevelopment of a former course plotted on a dirt road to allow people with reduced mobility, particularly paraplegics who must necessarily be in a wheelchair, access and power benefit. The course measures 1280 m and extends from the town Champagne fraction of Lies, at an altitude of about 1000 m. The trail is littered with signs describing the flora, fauna, environment, geology, climatology and production activities in agriculture. After the walk, a small rest area has been completed, with benches and tables. Work began in January 2007 and ended in July 2007. The inauguration took place September 20, 2007 in the presence of the Association of Paraplegics and municipal and regional authorities, with the traditional ribbon cutting and visiting different stations placed along the route. |
